Dear Everyone -

Just a few more days left for Mino's photography exhibition at Otemon Gakuin Universtity in Osaka. There was a Didjeridu concert there too. One member of a group called Loop Roots told Ms Takahata, an organizer of the exhibition, that he was trained at Arnhem Land and encouraged by Mino's Japanese book "Radical Oral History: Historical Practice of Indigenous Australians" when he had a hard time there.

Now, I have an exciting news to share with you. The title for Mino's English book will be "Gurindji Journey: A Japanese Historian in the Outback" and everyone is working very hard to publish it by Mino's 7th anniversary from his passing, May 10, 2011. Editing and proofreading are now in process and we are deciding the cover design as well.

Oh gosh...I am in tears again...It has been a long way...Really...

Many thanks to Prof. Ann McGrath, we (Well..should I say Mino?) have received three publishing grants/subsidies from Australian National University Publication Subsidy Committee, the Australian Academy of the Humanities and the ANU's Australian Centre for Indigenous History. I can see how important they think it is of Mino's work.

That's it for now. I will be in touch again before the year end.
